China is undergoing a period of rapid, large-scale technological advancement described as “China Opportunity 2.0.” This era is marked by significant breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, including the release of multiple major open-source models that offer competitive pricing and efficiency. The country’s innovation extends across various sectors such as electric vehicles, robotics, quantum technologies, and renewable energy, with China securing the top global position for scientific research contribution in 2025.

To sustain this momentum and achieve scientific self-reliance, China is shifting focus toward enhancing regional innovation systems.
