Chubut teacher training and evaluation initiatives

Overview

The Chubut Ministry of Education has initiated several programs aimed at teacher development and evaluation.

One initiative involves a specialized mathematics training program for 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade teachers in both state and private schools. Titled ‘Comprender para enseñar: Matemática con sentido en el segundo ciclo’, the program is part of the Provincial Integral Literacy Plan and focuses on fostering mathematical thinking through the analysis of classroom interventions.

Simultaneously, the Ministry has opened applications for three jurisdictional representatives to participate in the Integrated Federal System for Evaluation, Certification, and Accreditation of Teacher Training (SiFIECA). These professionals will work with the National Institute for Teacher Training (INFoD) to implement a federal evaluation system across provincial institutes, providing technical assistance and monitoring institutional improvement actions across various regional groupings.
