Chunghwa Telecom business and technology expansion

Chunghwa Telecom has reported significant financial growth and technological expansion in 2026. In its second-quarter results, the company achieved a record revenue of NT$61.36 billion, marking its highest quarterly figure since 2010. This growth was supported by a mobile market share of 41.2% and increased 5G penetration. The company is also expanding its AI infrastructure, notably through the completion of the Taoyuan Lunjing AIDC data centre and a memorandum of understanding for a second facility in Taichung.

Following these developments, the company received industry recognition from Frost & Sullivan. Chunghwa Telecom was named the ‘2026 Taiwanese Telecoms Company of the Year’ and recognized for its leadership in 5G technology innovation, specifically regarding its integration of artificial intelligence and multi-access edge computing. Additionally, its subsidiary, CHT Security, was named the ‘2026 Taiwan Company of the Year’ within the cybersecurity services industry for its AI-enabled security and cloud capabilities.
