Claudia Raia's Tarsila musical tour

In late July 2026 the Brazilian actress Claudia Raia launched the musical "Tarsila, a Brasileira" at Rio de Janeiro's Theatro Municipal and announced a national tour that would visit São Paulo, Rio's Zona Sul and other major cities. Raia, who also produces the show, spoke about the difficulty of balancing a demanding performance schedule with caring for her three children, especially her three‑year‑old son Luca, highlighting the personal strain of an "empty‑nest" phase.

A week later, while the tour continued, Raia participated in a podcast interview in which she disclosed a traumatic experience from her teenage years: a sexual assault at age 13 while staying with a choreographer in New York after receiving a scholarship from the American Ballet Theater. She recounted defending herself and fleeing the incident. The interview linked her personal history to the ongoing promotion of the musical, which celebrates Brazil's modernist heritage and remains scheduled for performances in Belo Horizonte, São Paulo and a return run at Vivo Rio.
