Cockroach Janata Party school reform controversy

Overview

Abhijit Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), has been involved in a series of controversies surrounding the party’s ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign in Maharashtra.

Initially, Dipke reported that the CJP’s Instagram account was temporarily suspended during a social media campaign highlighting infrastructure failures in Hingoli government schools, such as inadequate drinking water and broken windows. Dipke suggested the disruption was an attempt to limit the visibility of the movement.

Following these activities, the Latur police filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Dipke and his associates. A teacher at the Zilla Parishad Urdu School in Jawali alleged that the group entered the premises without permission, disrupted classroom learning, and recorded videos to share on social media. The complaint also included allegations of criminal intimidation and defamation. Police have registered the case under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and formed a special team to investigate.
