The youth-led Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) continues to operate as a pressure group, utilizing satire and the cockroach symbol to demand institutional accountability. Following the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the movement has expanded its targets to include Bar Council of India chairman Manan Mishra amid controversies involving NALSAR. On August 31, the Supreme Court of India formally quashed all FIRs registered against students involved in the nationwide NEET 2026 examination paper leak protests, invoking Article 142 of the Constitution. On September 6, the CJP expanded its focus on infrastructure following the collapse of a five-storey hostel in Delhi’s Satya Niketan area, which resulted in at least five to six deaths. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke demanded a comprehensive safety audit of all paying guest hostels in Delhi. Additionally, the group criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for using the term “Dimagi Naxal” during an address at SRCC, arguing that the government should address student welfare and employment rather than labeling questioning youth. On September 9, CJP-organized protests at Jantar Mantar renewed focus on systemic examination paper leaks.
