The Delhi Police Crime Branch has since summoned Das, Ranka, and activist Ajinkya Shinde for questioning at the Rajouri Garden office regarding allegations of trespass and disobedience of government orders. The CJP movement, which includes many Gen Z activists, is specifically protesting the alleged deletion of approximately 130 million names from electoral rolls.

Beyond Delhi, the CJP has faced significant crackdowns. In Guwahati, Assam Police detained over 30 CJP workers, including Ashutosh Ranka, ahead of a regional meeting. In Mumbai, authorities denied permission for a protest at Shivaji Park, prompting the CJP to announce a ‘Jail Bharo Andolan’ scheduled for October 2. While the Election Commission has defended its processes, the CJP maintains that the revision unfairly removes eligible voters.
