Coinfest Asia 2026, held on August 20–21 at Melasti Beach and Umana Bali, concluded with approximately 10,000 participants from 90 countries. High-level Indonesian institutions, including the Ministry of Investment, the House of Representatives (DPR), and the Financial Services Authority (OJK), were represented. ICN founder Steven Suhadi stated the event aimed to “build trust between regulators, industry players, investors, and founders.”

The conference highlighted Indonesia’s ambition to establish Bali as an Indonesian International Financial Center (PFII). Discussions focused on the necessity of clear regulations, targeted for completion by August 2026, and the potential tokenization of commodities like rubber and palm oil. Calvin Kizana, CEO of Tokocrypto, noted the PFII initiative seeks to attract global investment, while Binance representatives suggested that success in Indonesia may favor fintech integrations or super-apps that hold public trust.

Sponsors included Zoomex, which hosted a “Trade the Tide” side event featuring a roundtable discussion on building user trust, trading speed, and Southeast Asian adoption. Other participants included BYDFi, which showcased trading services, and FLOQ, which organized a ‘Community Bus’ program to transport 60 members from Yogyakarta to Bali.
