Community Support Fund vocational workshops

Overview

The Community Support Fund (FAC) has implemented vocational workshops aimed at promoting professional qualification and financial independence for socially vulnerable individuals.

Initial efforts included a “Mão na Massa – Saltenha” workshop in Jardim Noroeste, which trained approximately 100 participants in food preparation, entrepreneurship, pricing, and hygiene. The program specifically targeted women and children to foster income generation.

Subsequent reports indicate that these free culinary and craft workshops have expanded to include broader topics such as productive inclusion, circular economy, and sustainable culinary practices. Participants use these sessions to diversify existing small businesses and implement improved production and sales strategies.
