Concert-related violence in Montenegro
Overview
In July 2026, a mass brawl occurred in Nikšić, Montenegro, following an Ace Lukas concert at the Trim Center. The incident involved more than 80 participants using chairs and bottles, resulting in minor injuries to two youths and a light head injury to a police officer struck by a glass bottle. Several individuals were detained, and the matter was referred to the State Prosecutor’s Office.
In August 2026, a similar altercation took place in Spuž during an Amadeus Bend concert at the ‘Spužko ljeto’ festival. Following a verbal dispute near the Zeta River bridge, a criminal police officer from the Danilovgrad Security Department was attacked. While the State Prosecutor in Podgorica determined the actions did not constitute criminal offenses, two individuals were detained and faced misdemeanor proceedings under the Law on Public Order and Peace.
