Clinical examinations of the child revealed jaundice, abdominal bloating, and an enlarged liver and spleen.

Medical experts warn that the transmission of Treponema pallidum from mother to child can cause severe damage to the brain, eyes, bones, and liver, and may lead to stillbirth or neonatal death. Health professionals emphasize that the condition is preventable through routine prenatal screening and timely treatment of infected mothers.
