Construction sector development in Campo Grande
Overview
In Campo Grande, initiatives to support and develop the construction sector have progressed from workforce training to professional industry workshops.
In August 2026, the municipal government launched the third cohort of the ‘Elas Constroem’ program. This free training initiative, coordinated by Sinduscon-MS in partnership with several organizations including Senai, aims to qualify 78 women for roles in masonry, painting, and electrical work to increase female participation in the industry.
Building on these efforts, the city scheduled the II Construction Civil Week Workshop for September 14 to 18, 2026. Held at the Faculdade SENAI da Construção, the free event is designed to bring together professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and public managers. The program covers strategic themes including debureaucratization, construction management, cost engineering, urban development, sustainability, and the labor market, as well as urban planning, environmental licensing, and mobility.
The workshop is a collaborative effort involving the City Hall of Campo Grande, Senai/MS, Sebrae/MS, and Mútua MS. The opening features a keynote lecture titled ‘Why do schedules fail?’ by Aldo Dórea Mattos, a national reference in cost engineering and project management.
