CONTROL Resonant PC performance and requirements

Remedy Entertainment released the PC system requirements for its upcoming title, CONTROL Resonant, ahead of its September 24, 2026, launch. The specifications indicated a wide range of hardware needs, noting that achieving 4K resolution at 60 FPS with maximum Path Tracing would require at least an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080. Minimum requirements for 1080p at 30 FPS on low settings included an Intel Core i5-8500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500 paired with a GTX 1070 or equivalent.

Following the release, technical benchmarks revealed that while the PC port received praise for visual fidelity and handheld optimization, it faces significant performance bottlenecks on older hardware. Specifically, the implementation of DLSS 5 technology has caused severe performance drops for NVIDIA RTX 30 series graphics cards. Evaluations showed that an RTX 3060 averaged only 8 frames per second at 1080p with Ultra settings and ray tracing, while an RTX 3080 or 3080 Ti averaged approximately 16 frames per second. Experts have suggested disabling neural rendering settings to maintain playable frame rates on these legacy architectures.
