Controversy over Jhon Durán’s professional attitude

Overview

Brazilian midfielder Fred has sparked controversy following comments regarding his former teammate, Colombian striker Jhon Durán. During an appearance on the ‘Charla Podcast’, Fred described Durán as the ‘craziest’ teammate he has ever worked with during their time together at Fenerbahçe.

Fred alleged that Durán displayed a lack of professional commitment toward training. He claimed that when encouraged to attend sessions, the striker would respond, ‘I am already rich, I don’t need to run.’ Fred further remarked on Durán’s significant contract with Al Nassr, suggesting the player had ‘bought all of Colombia.’

While Fred noted that Durán is a great person, he highlighted that the striker’s attitude toward training became a notable issue. Durán, who is currently on loan at Benfica from Al Nassr, has moved between several clubs recently, including Zenit and Fenerbahçe.
