Core Keeper Riders of the Underground update

Overview

In September 2026, developer Pugstorm and Fireshine Games announced ‘Riders of the Underground’, a major free content update for the sandbox survival game Core Keeper. The update was described as the first stage of a three-part initiative titled ‘Road to the Maw’.

Planned features included new mountable animals via a ‘saddle’ item, a ‘Hookshot’ tool for traversing chasms, a new ‘Moss’ sub-biome within the Forgotten Ruins, and various new pets, weapons, and armor.

Following the initial announcement, the update was officially released across PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
