Corregidora emergency services international cooperation

Overview

The municipality of Corregidora has engaged in several collaborative initiatives with cities in Texas to enhance emergency response capabilities.

Initially, the government of Laredo, Texas, donated emergency equipment to Corregidora, including a ladder truck for high-altitude rescues and ten sets of protective gear. This donation was intended to strengthen local firefighters and Civil Protection units as part of a sister-city relationship.

Following these resource transfers, Corregidora firefighters participated in the third International Firefighter Exchange Program in McAllen, Texas. During this training at the ‘La Lomita’ Training Center, personnel engaged in technical exercises such as victim search and rescue, forced entry, and water stream management to improve specialized emergency response skills.
