Costa Rican classical music achievements

Overview

Costa Rican classical music is achieving international recognition and domestic preservation. Baritone Kevin Godínez is scheduled to perform at Italy’s Teatro alla Scala in late October 2026. Following his success at the ORFEO Lyric Singing Contest of America, Godínez will perform the role of Belcore in ‘L’elisir d’amore’ and the role of Valentín in ‘Faust’.
