Cox Plate horse racing competition

Overview

The $6 million Group 1 Cox Plate weight-for-age championship is being held at Flemington Racecourse this year, following a 21-month closure and $250 million rebuild of Moonee Valley.

Contenders for the race include Blind Raise, who was entered by trainer Trent Busuttin despite the unconventional path, and Ceolwulf, trained by Joe Pride. Other notable rivals mentioned include Sir Delius, Aeliana, Birdman, and Warwoven. The competition features a $4 million first-prize share.
