Khánh Hòa provincial police have issued an open letter calling on the public to remain vigilant and provide information regarding the escapees. In the Diên Lâm area, local residents have reported increased anxiety, with many choosing to stay indoors as police patrols and specialized vehicles maintain a constant presence in the region. As the search continues, legal experts have clarified the potential consequences for those assisting the fugitives. Lawyer Ta Quang Tong noted that while immediate family members are generally exempt from criminal liability for failing to report a crime, they can be prosecuted for ‘concealing a crime’ under Article 389 if they actively help the inmates evade authorities.
