Authorities in Vietnam have reported significant criminal activity and serious traffic incidents. In Nghe An, police dismantled a major diesel theft ring operating at Vinh Railway Station. Led by train driver Nguyen Dinh Kien, the group utilized underground pipes and specialized trucks to steal hundreds of thousands of liters of diesel from locomotives, resulting in losses exceeding 4.5 billion VND. In Da Nang, a Russian national, Enola Iugai, was identified for stealing luxury goods, including a Rolex watch and a Louis Vuitton bag, valued at over 500 million VND from a Saudi Arabian tourist. Other incidents include a group of teenagers in Huế under investigation for reckless driving with weapons, and a drug gathering spot dismantled in Vĩnh Long, where police seized Ketamine and weapons. In Ba Ria, a crash involving a 16-seater vehicle and a taxi resulted in nine injuries, including three children. A collision on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway involving a passenger bus and a stationary truck caused the death of a Russian tourist.
