In a separate incident in the Gaighata area, a 13-year-old girl was found dead in her home. Her family has alleged she was a victim of rape and blackmail by a 32-year-old local man. The family claims the man used objectionable photographs and videos to intimidate the minor and had allegedly threatened her with acid attacks. Police have recovered the body for autopsy and are investigating the written complaint filed at the Gaighata police station.
