Expanding on these critiques at a festival in Lamezia Terme, Boccia challenged the administration to utilize approximately 14 billion euros in available energy budget to reduce costs for families and businesses, labeling the current energy policy a failure. He proposed using these funds to reduce energy vulnerability and build long-term autonomy rather than relying on temporary emergency measures. As by-elections approach in Reggio Calabria, political tensions have intensified. While Boccia framed the local contests as a national political preview, Fratelli d’Italia’s Giovanni Donzelli defended the Meloni government, praising its investments in the South and addressing local issues such as the abolition of the car tax.
