Bosniak leaders, including Denis Bećirović and Elmedin Konaković, have rejected these proposals; Konaković stated that ‘no new electoral units will be created’ and emphasized the necessity of equality for Bosniaks. In response, the Coordination of HVO Associations condemned the rhetoric of Bosniak politicians, comparing their political strategies to those used by Slobodan Milošević to undermine equality. Additionally, the dispute has touched upon Slaven Kovačević, a Democratic Front candidate for the Croat Presidency seat, who faced criticism from Grlić Radman for allegedly promoting ‘unitarist goals’.
