In July 2026 Croatia signed several road‑building agreements. advanced both local and national road upgrades. On 23 July, local authorities in the Konavle municipality and Dubrovnik‑Neretva County approved three contracts worth about €2.3 million to repair and reconstruct for short sections of municipal and county roads, road repairs, improving connectivity access for residents and schoolchildren. A week later, on 31 July, the national highway operator Hrvatske autoceste (HAC) signed a €252 million contract with a consortium led by Kolektor CPG to build the 12.3‑km Jadranovo‑Selce segment of the A7 highway, part of the European route E65. The project agreement, signed in Crikvenica and witnessed by HAC president Boris Huzjan, Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Butković and regional officials, sets a 42‑month deadline and includes eight tunnels, viaducts and eleven viaducts, bridges and ancillary works. Funding comes entirely from HAC, without EU support.
