Crvena Zvezda preseason tournament and roster updates

Crvena Zvezda participated in the 6th Crete International Basketball Tournament in Greece despite facing significant roster challenges. Initially, the team was expected to compete without Chima Moneke, who could not travel due to an expired passport, as well as Stefan Miljenovic and Nikola Jurcic, who were sidelined by injuries.

During the preseason tournament, Crvena Zvezda secured a 91:85 victory over Olimpia Milano, which allowed them to advance to the final. Jordan Nwora led the team with 23 points, and newcomer David Kramer contributed nine points in his debut. Following the win, Kramer expressed readiness after only one training session, while Nwora noted that coach Ibón Navarro is emphasizing the use of his physical height.

As preseason preparations continue, the team is testing new talent, including Kramer, who integrated quickly following his arrival from Real Madrid. Crvena Zvezda is currently preparing for high-level tournament matches against opponents such as Olympiacos.

Following the Crete preparations, the team traveled to Cyprus for a new preparatory tournament against Olympiacos and Aris. The roster has seen significant changes: Stefan Miljenović has returned from injury and Chima Moneke has rejoined the team after resolving his passport issues. However, Dejan Davidovac and Nikola Đurišić remain in Belgrade to continue individual injury recovery.

Ebuka Izundu, who recently extended his contract, noted that coach Ibba Navaro is implementing tactical shifts focused on increased intensity and faster ball movement. The team is also working to integrate new players like Jonathan Motley as they prepare for a EuroLeague fixture against Žalgiris on September 24.
