Crystal Jade restaurant group restructuring

Overview

The holding companies for the Crystal Jade restaurant group in Singapore and Hong Kong have been placed under receivership. Advisory firm Kroll was appointed to oversee the group’s financial and operational affairs to assess strategic options, with the aim of stabilizing the business and preserving value through potential restructuring.

As part of these restructuring measures, the group has undergone significant downsizing. Following several outlet closures earlier in 2026, Crystal Jade closed four additional Singapore locations in early October, including several La Mian Xiao Long Bao and Crystal Jade GO outlets. These closures resulted in the termination of approximately 120 employees.

Kroll is implementing these changes in preparation for a proposed sale of the business. While the group continues to operate with existing management, the number of active outlets in Singapore has been reduced to nine, with a remaining workforce of approximately 210 staff.
