Cucine Lube Civitanova has commenced its pre-season training for the 2026/27 volleyball season. During the first week, the team focused on athletics and technical drills, with second coach Francesco Oleni reporting a positive atmosphere despite the absence of nine national team players. The squad currently consists of five first-team members working with Academy Volley Lube youth players. By the third week of preparation, the team continued joint sessions with the academy. On September 22, Lube played a friendly training match against Gruppo Associati Fisiomed Macerata at the Banca Macerata Forum, marking the team’s first return to Macerata in 12 years. Macerata defeated Lube 3-1, with set scores of 22-25, 25-23, 25-20, and 25-16. Lube played with a reduced roster due to nine absences for national team commitments. While Hetman and Gargiulo were Lube’s top scorers, Macerata’s victory was led by Novello and Frage Rubin. Following the match, Davide Gardini noted the team’s need to improve “precision and continuity,” specifically regarding “second touches and coverage.” Tonkonoh was present in the stands for the event.
