Baja California is hosting a series of cultural, gastronomic, and artistic events throughout the latter half of 2026. In late August, the region is focusing focuses on wine and cocktail traditions. The Valle de Guadalupe is hosting the “Viñadas 2026” program, organized by Emprendedores del Valle de Guadalupe A. C. (EDVG), which includes wine tastings and grape stomping, while the “Vinos & Sombreros” event on August 22 and “Polvo en las Botas, Vino en la Copa” on August 29 and 30. The Riviera de Ensenada is holding the “Festival de la Margarita 2026” on August 29 to commemorate the cocktail’s 78th anniversary. Additionally, the 2nd International Guitar Festival (FIGBA) is scheduled for late August 28 to 30 in Rosarito. Looking toward October, Rosarito, featuring masterclasses and recitals. September features the 12th “TlaquepArte” International Exhibition of Handicrafts, Jewelry, and Decoration from September 16 to 20 in Playas de Rosarito, showcasing 200 exhibitors from 16 countries. The 19th “Chinto” Mendoza Jazz Festival will also take place from September 18 to 20, touring Tijuana, Ensenada, and Mexicali. From October 1 to November 1, the state will host the 25th Festival de Octubre, themed ‘Territorios de Paz.’ Spanning seven municipalities, the festival will feature over 100 activities, including includes immersive digital exhibitions such as ‘Desafío Dalí’ in Tijuana and ‘Yo soy Frida Kahlo’ in Mexicali. To increase accessibility, officials are distributing 20,000 free tickets tickets, with Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda stating the initiative aims to treat culture as a “fundamental right for these exhibitions. all citizens rather than a privilege for elites.”
