Cultural and light art events in Hanau region

Overview

Hanau and surrounding areas in Germany are hosting various cultural and seasonal events during the autumn of 2026.

In Hanau, the Schloss Philippsruhe castle park will host ‘LUMAGICA’, a large-scale light art event running from October 30, 2026, to January 24, 2027. The installation features a 1.5-hour circular path with over 300 light figures and approximately 15 kilometers of light chains. The experience includes themed areas such as illuminated gardens and a fantasy world with interactive stations, accompanied by musical scores.

Other regional festivities include a program in Hanau from October 21 to October 27 featuring comedy, poetry slams, musical performances, culinary tours, and a Halloween event. Additionally, Rittergut Remeringhausen has scheduled its ‘MärchenLichter’ event series, using light installations, music, and projections to create a fairy-tale atmosphere in its landscape park.
