Cultural and music festivals in Romania

In mid-August 2026, several music and cultural festivals took place across various Romanian cities.

In Brașov and Râmnicu Vâlcea, music festivals concluded their 2026 editions. The Brașov Jazz & Blues Festival featured performances by the Alfredo Rodríguez Trio, Janiva Magness, and Charlotte Colace, alongside the launch of Ana-Cristina Leonte’s spoken word jazz album, ‘NOW to NOW’. In Râmnicu Vâlcea, the MusicLover Festival at Fețeni Plateau concluded with performances by artists including Varer, Leo de la Roșiori, Marcel Ștefăneț & Ethno Republic, and Tudor Deejay.

Concurrently, other cultural events were scheduled in Târgu Jiu and Râmnicu Sărat. Târgu Jiu hosted the “Film în parc” event, featuring musical performances by the “Armonia” Fanfare, interactive games, and outdoor film screenings. In Râmnicu Sărat, the BIAF Cultural Caravan organized a three-day program involving film screenings, theater, photography exhibitions, and live music from the band e-An-Na, as well as family-oriented activities in Vieru Park.
