Cultural events at the Carrousel du Louvre
Overview
The Carrousel du Louvre is scheduled to host several major cultural events in late 2026.
From October 29 to November 1, the venue will host the 31st International Cultural Heritage Salon, organized by Ateliers d’Art de France. Under the theme ‘Patrimoine en lumières’ (Heritage in Lights), the salon features over 300 exhibitors across more than 40 crafts, such as glassmaking and bronze work, focusing on how light reveals materials in heritage preservation.
Additionally, on November 6, the 21st APAJH Trophées will be held to mark the 50th anniversary of the Fédération APAJH. This ceremony, styled as a ‘modern cabaret,’ aims to recognize initiatives that promote the inclusion and citizenship of people with disabilities.
Separately, the Louvre museum is hosting an exhibition titled ‘Figures du fou’ (Figures of the Fool), which examines the social and religious history of those perceived as insane from the Middle Ages through the 19th century.
