Cultural activities and exhibitions continue at the Hotel Globo in João Pessoa, Brazil, as part of local initiatives to promote art and regional craftsmanship. Managed by the João Pessoa City Hall through the Secretary of Education and Culture (Sedec), this initiative features rotating displays of crafts and visual arts made from materials such as clay, wood, metal, paper, and fabric. Director Walfrido Henrique noted that pieces are rotated weekly to provide different artists with opportunities to present their work, with the venue attracting an average of 500 daily visitors. The space is open daily from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including holidays. Furthering the city's anniversary celebrations, the photography exhibition ‘Meu Lugar em João Pessoa – Especial 441 anos’ (My Place in João Pessoa – Special 441 Years) has been organized through a partnership between the Secretariat of Economic Development and Labor (Sedest) (Sedest), the Cultural Foundation (Funjope), and Rede Paraíba. Following a contest that received 1,146 entries between July 28 and August 5, an evaluation committee selected 20 photographs capturing landscapes, historical sites, and local memories.
