Netflix and CD Projekt RED have confirmed that the new anime series, ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2’, is scheduled to premiere globally on October 20, 2026. Produced in collaboration with animation studio TRIGGER, the ten-episode installment serves as a standalone narrative set within the Night City universe. Rather than continuing the story of previous characters, the series introduces a new cast, including Weak Kingsley—a former cyberpunk legend living without bodily enhancements—and the nomad D, who is on a quest for vengeance. The series focuses on themes of revenge and redemption. A trailer has been released to preview the action-oriented series, which features music by the artist duo DOUDOU. The announcement of the series was part of a broader Netflix animation slate update that included several other highly anticipated titles. In its October 2026 lineup, Netflix has also scheduled ‘The Ramparts of Ice 2’ for October 1, ‘Blue Box 2’ for October 4, and three special episodes of ‘My Happy Marriage’ for October 25.
