Netflix and CD Projekt RED have confirmed that the new anime series, ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2’, is scheduled to premiere globally on October 20, 2026. The series is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with Bartosz Sztybor returning as showrunner. The production features an opening theme by The Cure and tracks by Rico Nasty, alongside music by the artist duo DOUDOU. Following its release on October 20, the series quickly reached the top of viewership charts in several regions. While the season concludes with an open ending that leaves the characters alive, Netflix has not yet officially announced a third season. Post-release details highlight the shift toward an anthology format. The season follows diverse voices, including Roman Carax, a young cinephile navigating the capitalist dystopia. Additionally, the production continues its use of Polish music, featuring the track ‘Serce’ by the independent duo LSO in the third episode.
