Cybersecurity firms release agentic AI tools
Overview
The cybersecurity industry is seeing a surge in the release of agentic AI tools designed to automate IT operations, troubleshooting, and risk remediation.
SolarWinds initiated this trend with the launch of Avior, a goal-oriented system developed by its ‘Area 51’ team. Avior uses specialized agents to manage mission-critical environments by correlating alerts and managing asset lifecycles through a deterministic execution framework that requires human approval for high-risk actions.
Following this, several other firms announced similar capabilities. NinjaOne introduced Katana AI for root cause analysis and an MCP server for governed data access. Scytale released an MCP server to allow natural language queries of compliance data, while Qualys introduced TruConfidence, an orchestration engine intended to power autonomous cyber risk remediation at machine speed.
