Cycling activities in Turkey
Overview
Cycling activities in Turkey have spanned both tourism-focused events and competitive professional racing.
In mid-September 2026, various regional events were held to promote cultural heritage and tourism. In Kocaeli, the 6th Kocaeli Tourism and Cycling Festival brought together hundreds of international and domestic cyclists to explore coastal and forest routes. In Bitlis, cyclists organized an event to advocate for the preservation of the Deliklitaş historical site, while in Eskişehir, local associations focused on urban traffic safety.
Simultaneously, competitive road racing saw significant results at the Turkey Cup 9th Stage Pointed Road Races Season Final in Antalya. Athletes from Konya-based clubs, including Uğurlu Performans Spor Kulübü, Selçuklu Belediyespor Kulübü, and Torku Şeker Spor Kulübü, secured multiple gold and bronze medals across various age categories and classifications.
