Various Czech cities are organizing programs and decorations for the upcoming Advent and Christmas season. In Písek, preparations include a light tunnel, a Friday advent cinema, a New Year’s concert, and a Christmas train. The town square will host holiday markets with rotating vendors, and a vendors managed by REMA living, allowing local entrepreneurs to change goods weekly. The event will feature folklore groups, a St. Nicholas show, and a concert by Petr Bende. Meanwhile, Liberec will begin its festive season on November 20 with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in front of the town hall, featuring a performance by O’Band. The Advent program includes musical acts such as Verona and Hitfakers, alongside caroling and workshops at Dr. E. Beneš Square and Soukenné náměstí. In Brno, Christmas markets are set to begin on November 13 at Zelný trh, Moravské náměstí, parts of náměstí Svobody, and Kapucínské náměstí. The festivities will include over 160 stalls, a Ferris wheel, and performances by artists such as Lucie and traditional caroling. Žlutý pes. Additionally, in Šlapanice, the Real Estate Administration is seeking donations of large coniferous trees from residents to be used as Christmas trees in Bedřichovice.
