Częstochowa seminary centenary celebrations

Overview

The Higher Interdiocesan Theological Seminary in Częstochowa marked its 100th anniversary and the start of the 2026/2027 academic year. The jubilee ceremonies included a solemn Mass presided over by Cardinal Lazarus You Heung-Sik, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Clergy, alongside Archbishop Wacław Depo and Archbishop Andrzej Przybylski.

During the celebrations, Cardinal You Heung-Sik emphasized that “authentic priestly service stems from listening to God's word and purifying one's motivations.” The event also featured the enrollment of first-year seminarians and an academic session to inaugurate the new formation year.
