Da Nang police anti-drug enforcement campaigns

Overview

Authorities in Da Nang have implemented several drug testing initiatives as part of ongoing efforts to combat substance abuse and maintain local security.

In mid-October, police in Tra Linh Commune conducted unexpected drug tests on 39 workers at Ngoc Linh ginseng gardens. All individuals tested negative. During these inspections, authorities also provided education on drug prevention laws, ginseng theft prevention, and legal residency registration.

Following this, on October 22, the Xuan Phu Commune Police conducted drug testing for 500 employees at a local industrial company. All results were negative.

On October 24, law enforcement expanded operations in the Ngu Hanh Son Ward of Da Nang. Starting at 4:00 AM, 205 officers and security forces inspected 27 establishments, including bars, pubs, internet cafes, and rental houses. Of the 112 individuals tested during this high-intensity operation, five individuals returned positive results for narcotics.
