Daniel Bîrligea performance at Frosinone

Romanian striker Daniel Bîrligea recently returned to the Frosinone squad following a quadriceps muscle injury sustained while playing for the Romanian national team. Initially facing limited playing time due to the performance of teammate Antonio Raimondo, Bîrligea has since made a significant impact on the pitch.

During a 5-1 Serie A victory against Lecce, Bîrligea entered the match as a substitute in the 70th minute and scored two goals, including one in the 90+4 minute of stoppage time. Following the match, Bîrligea credited the team’s success to the rigorous training methods of coach Massimiliano Alvini, stating that the squad “cries at training and smiles during matches.” His performance earned high ratings from Italian media, such as an 8/10 from Eurosport and TMW.

Frosinone currently holds 6th place in Serie A with 17 points after nine matches. Bîrligea is currently on loan from FCSB, having joined this summer for 1.5 million euros. Frosinone holds an option to purchase him permanently. If Frosinone maintains its position in Serie A and avoids relegation, a clause could trigger a permanent transfer for a total value of 5 million euros, which would net FCSB an additional 3.5 million euros.
