Daniel Craig hospitality venture in London

Overview

Actor Daniel Craig has entered the hospitality industry as a co-owner of The Horseshoe, a 250-year-old historic pub located in London’s Clerkenwell district. Craig is partnering with several hospitality professionals, including Soho House founder Nick Jones, Flat Iron founder Charlie Carroll, and creative director Justin O’Shea.

The investment involves a planned year-long renovation intended to refresh the building while preserving its traditional character as a community-focused venue. Plans include converting the upper bar area into a restaurant with a terrace and establishing a large outdoor beer garden. Craig expressed a desire to create an inclusive space rather than an exclusive establishment, noting his familiarity with the industry due to his family roots in pub ownership.

Local legends regarding the pub suggest the cellar is haunted by the ghost of a former hangman named Gilbert. Craig addressed these rumors with humor, suggesting the spirit might be left a pint.
