Daniel Vilela reelection campaign in Goiás

During his reelection campaign in Goiás, Governor Daniel Vilela has focused on consolidating political alliances and outlining infrastructure priorities.

In late August, Vilela inaugurated his political committee in Goiânia, where he honored the political legacies of the Albernaz and Vilela families to strengthen ties between major political groups, including the MDB and PSD.

By mid-September, the campaign shifted toward specific policy platforms. Vilela announced a R$ 500 million plan to expand the Hospital de Urgências de Goiânia (Hugo), which would add 180 beds and 20 operating rooms. He also emphasized public security and regional logistics, citing the state’s R$ 8.5 billion in cash reserves as the basis for these planned investments.

On September 10, campaign mobilization intensified. Vilela detailed the R$ 500 million acquisition of a new building for the Hugo hospital, a move intended to increase total capacity to 500 beds and double the number of surgical rooms. In Aparecida de Goiânia, the Governor inaugurated a campaign committee, while Mayor Leandro Vilela formalized his support for the Governor and other candidates. Additionally, Vilela and Wilder Morais visited the Ceasa-GO wholesale market to discuss infrastructure and supply issues with producers and workers.
