Overview
In late August 2026, the Danish construction, civil engineering, and real estate sectors experienced a wave of insolvencies and liquidations.
During the week of August 17 to August 23, records from Statstidende and the CVR register showed at least 82 companies in these industries were declared dissolved, liquidated, or bankrupt. Specific entities affected included Toftegårds Alle ApS, Lundquist Entreprenør ApS, and ALXByg ApS.
In the following week, spanning August 24 to August 30, the trend continued with between 33 and 62 companies or related entities with employees facing dissolution or insolvency. Notable bankruptcies included Marselis Ejendomme A/S, Nova beton ApS, and CJ Fiber ApS, while others like Dandan Ejendomme ApS faced compulsory dissolution. These filings were distributed across various judicial districts, including Aarhus, Viborg, Næstved, Hjørring, Odense, and the Maritime and Commercial High Court.
