Adrian Szymaniak, a participant from the third season of the Polish television program ‘Ślub od pierwszego wejrzenia’ (Married at First Sight), died on September 5, 2026, at the age of 39. He had been battling stage IV glioblastoma multiforme, an aggressive form of brain cancer, since July 2025. His medical treatment included surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and TTFields therapy. Szymaniak and his wife, Anita Szydłowska-Szymaniak, met in 2018 and had two children, Jerzy and Bianka. The couple had recently moved to Bydgoszcz due to Adrian’s health. A private funeral service was held on September 9 in Żołędowo, attended only by close family and friends at the request of relatives. Following the service, the family issued a statement requesting that the media respect their privacy and refrain from publishing materials from the ceremony. Following his death, Anita faced public scrutiny and criticism from social media users and Adrian’s mother, the latter of whom publicly shared private family matters.
