Andy Williams, a professional wrestler known as ‘The Butcher’ and a musician with the band Every Time I Die, died at age 48 following a medical emergency during an Enjoy Wrestling event in Millvale, Pennsylvania. Initial reports indicated that Williams collapsed during a tag-team match alongside Jesse ‘The Blade’ Guilmette. On-site medical staff performed CPR and used an AED before he was transported to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. While early reports suggested symptoms consistent with a cardiac event, the official cause of death remains pending an autopsy by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office. Millvale Borough Police reported that Williams struck his head on a ring post during the match, though authorities stated there were no visible signs of foul play. Following his death, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) dedicated its September 12, 2026, episode of Collision to honoring his legacy. The broadcast included a ten-bell salute and video tributes from colleagues such as Brody King, Colt Cabana, and Jeff Jarrett, who described him as a ‘kind and supportive individual.’ AEW President Tony Khan noted that Williams had been in discussions regarding potential backstage and promotional roles within the company, specifically expressing interest in developing collaborations between professional wrestling and the music community. In the wake of the tragedy, professional wrestler Ganon Jones Jr. announced he is stepping away from wrestling, stating his decision was influenced by his young daughter’s fear for his safety after witnessing the event.
