Delhi fire incidents

Overview

In mid-September 2026, multiple fires were reported in different areas of Delhi. In Swaroop Nagar, a fire at a sporting goods factory caused panic in an adjacent building, leading six people to jump to escape smoke; all were reported to be out of danger. Simultaneously, a fire occurred at a wooden goods warehouse in Dallupura, which was addressed by 16 fire tenders.

Later in the month, a fire broke out in a multi-storey building in Model Town that houses several restaurants, including a Haldiram outlet. Suspected to be caused by a short circuit, the blaze affected several floors. Emergency responders rescued 30 people, and no injuries or casualties were reported.
