Overview

In late July 2026 Dell highlighted the high‑performance Dell Pro 7 14, featuring Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen AI processors, strong gaming benchmarks and a premium design for professional users. A week later Dell Technologies held an event in New Delhi to unveil a premium consumer portfolio for India, including the XPS 13 ultra‑portable notebook and the Dell 14S and 16S models equipped with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 or AMD Ryzen AI 400 chips delivering up to 50 TOPS NPU. Early reviews of the 14S praised its all‑metal chassis, 14‑inch 1200p display and marathon‑style battery life, but noted that upgrades such as OLED screens or higher‑end Core Ultra 7/9 CPUs raise prices above $1,400, making value comparisons with the MacBook Air, Surface Laptop and HP OmniBook 5 less favorable.

In early August Dell introduced the XPS 14, a thin all‑aluminum laptop lighter than comparable 14‑inch MacBook Pros, powered by an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H and optional 2.8K OLED touchscreen. It ships with integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics, delivers about 10 hours of battery life and matches the base‑level 2026 Apple 16‑inch MacBook Pro in multi‑core benchmarks, though the MacBook Pro offers up to 24 hours of runtime.

On 5 August Dell announced an expanded Pro portfolio, adding Dell Pro 7 13/14 laptops and 2‑in‑1s, the thinnest Dell Pro Precision 5 Series 14S/16S workstations, and AI‑powered webcams with Windows Hello, auto‑framing and privacy shutters. The rollout was accompanied by UK and Ireland discount promotions for refurbished units and loyalty rebates.
