Overview

Digitalization initiatives in Castilla y León have expanded across both the business and education sectors. The DIGIS3 project, managed by the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICECYL), concluded its 2023-2026 phase after supporting 187 companies, generating an estimated economic impact of 4,529,010 euros. A new three-year phase has been launched with a 3.29 million euro budget, aiming to reach over 5,000 organizations by 2029 through specialized services and artificial intelligence training for SMEs.

Complementing these economic efforts, the Ministry of Education has introduced a digital training plan for teachers for the 2026-2027 academic year. Facilitated through the Educacyl portal, the program focuses on educational innovation, research, and the integration of information technologies in classrooms.
