Digitalization of Togolese media and government services
Overview
Togo is expanding its digital infrastructure across various sectors. In late September 2026, the Institut Français du Togo and the French Embassy facilitated a digital meeting to introduce the Culturethèque platform, intended to assist media professionals with investigative research and fact-checking.
By early October 2026, the government expanded digital services to the public sector. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, African Integration and Togolese of l’Exterior launched a digital platform for ten administrative procedures, including diplomatic card applications and airport access permits. Furthermore, six consular services, such as document legalization and the issuance of birth and marriage certificates, were moved online to enable remote access.
