These nations, alongside Denmark, Finland, Ireland, and Norway, announced coordinated measures to ban trade with products originating from these settlements. Specific sanctions include restrictions on goods, bans on advertising settlement real estate in the UK, and potential sanctions against entities providing construction, infrastructure, or financing for settlement expansion. There are also calls to deny export licenses for weapons that contribute to the occupation.
Israel has responded to the UK’s specific measures by implementing counter-sanctions, which include the closure of the UK’s Consulate General in East Jerusalem.
