The Diputación de Pontevedra continues to implement infrastructure and urban development projects through its ‘Plan Provincia Extraordinaria – Plan Extra’ and ‘+Provincia 2026-2027’ programs. Previous investments included contributions to Tui for public space reorganization, Mondariz for the O Val river beach recovery, and Salvaterra de Miño for the Cabreira district. The ‘Pro Deporte’ plan also allocated approximately 1.8 million euros to improve sports facilities for roughly thirty non-profit clubs. Recent large-scale urban humanization efforts include the San Roque Street project in Vigo, where the Diputación approved 1,569,494 euros, and a 2.58 million euro investment for a playground at Finca Matías. Additionally, the Diputación provided 570,000 euros for a municipal paving plan in Tomiño. Newer developments under the ‘+Provincia 2026-2027’ plan include over 48,000 euros for Gondomar to improve access to the CEIP Serra-Vincios school through paving, drainage, and safety enhancements. In Tui, the Diputación completed a renovation of the A Macoca pavilion, exceeding 180,000 euros, to modernize locker rooms, lighting, and accessibility. Furthermore, a 400,000 euro allocation has been announced for capturing new routes in Peinador. Under the ‘Plan Vía Depo’, President Luis López confirmed a new allocation of 550,000 euros for municipal road improvements across four municipalities. Covelo will receive 166,000 euros for infrastructure repairs, including drainage, sanitation, and paving. Nigrán has been allocated 122,000 euros for road safety and maintenance, including asphalt renewal and retaining wall reconstruction. Redondela will receive 145,000 euros to repair a collapsed slope on the Camiño da Milixosa and improve drainage, while Salceda de Caselas will receive approximately 110,000 euros for the widening and paving of three municipal roads.
